And Breath................

Ok that is all for now.
I am sat in the lounge at Dubai Airport on the way home to the loving arms of my family :-)
Once home painting time will be all but non existent, although I may be able to sneak in a game or two.....But.....
I will be back at work in a few weeks and the painting train will be back on the tracks.....I think I will continue of the Fantasy theme as I have really enjoyed it.  In the pipeline are more for the Stygians, The  Demonic Hordes, may be some humans and more Orcs and Goblins of course.
Oh and if I can may be a start on the Barbarians... but we shall see.

Please do feel free to post comments or links on any forums you may think of interest.

Feed back is always appreciated both good and bad although if it's too bad I do have a hefty horde of battle hardened Trolls to send after you.............

Update

There will another batch of commission work pictures tomorrow.  These are the figures I painted the last time I was away working.

My routine is paint at work, base at home.

So despite the lack on WIP pictures I have been busy.

24 Punic heavy infantry

18 ancient Spanish cavalry

24 Ottoman Cavalry and 36 Ottoman infantry in 2 weeks, so not too bad.

On the painting table now is my last batch of Spanish cavalry and command, 25 figures in all, the largest batch of. Cavalry that I have done in one go.

Once they are finished, hopefully in two days time that will be my ancient Spanish forces finished.  That will be a second fully army that will make up a very large Carthaginian Army.

Next for this army will be the Liby-Phonecians.  Mainly African spear, skirmishes and elephants, lots of them.....well about 6 anyway.

Painting Update

Ok no poor quality pictures, I will save you from that.  But that does not mean I have been lazy....if you check my painting totals you will see that they are steadily increasing, sometimes by the day!

I have painted another 10mm Confederate infantry regiment, that's 24 figures.  I love how easily and well theses figures paint up and I can not wait to base them up and finish them off once I am home.  i also added 2 artillery pieces, crews and limbers for good old southern boys!

The last of the Napoleonic commission was completed, I think, in the shape of yet another French infantry unit.  However this time I have changed it up slightly and painted them as 3rd Swiss Regiment, so red tunics with black facings.

The next commission pieces were 8 'arab' light horse, they were a mix of Essex and old Mikes Models miniatures.  Again great to paint and I was surprised how well the Mikes Models took the paint and Army Painter 'dip', looked nice (photos to come).

Mikes Models are slightly smaller than the Essex figures and they appear 'dumpy' but they have an appeal all of their own.

Next up on my painting table was my Corvus Bellie Spanish Cavalry for my Carthaginian army.  I knocked out 2 units of these, a light horse one of 8 figures and a medium cavalry unit of 12 figures.  So that gives me 3 medium cavalry units and 1 light horse unit.

I will be going home next week, so the volume of painting will decrease but I have a heap of basing to do........and I promise pictures once completed.

Where Next?

Ok I have been looking at my wargaming hobby and what and where I go next.
I have come to a decision, no new 15mm projects.

So what do I have on the go.......15mm

Late Carthaginian using Corvus Belle Figures

Macedonian/Seleucid using Xyston

Late Achamenid Persian using Xyston

AVBCW using Peter Pig

Now for the new projects...
10mm War of Spanish Succession
10mm Wars of the Roses
10mm ACW

However and there is always an however...I do like 6mm
6mm Napoleonic Russian 1812
6mm Wars of the Roses (instead of 10mm lol)

So as you can see I am a busy little boy...oh and Dystopian Wars Prussian Empire!

And not to forgetting my continuing painting commissions from PAW club members.

So what am I getting rid of, A LOT!!
15mm WW2 Russians (a large collection!)
Epic Chaos Space Marines
28mm GW War Of The Rings (Orcs and Goblins)

If you want to know details just drop me a line.
