15mm Fantasy-Non Empire Humans

The finished article of the mock up that I posted a couple of weeks ago.

These represent a 'Colunela' of the City State of Talabheim.  It is based on the Spanish infantry formation from the Italian Wars period.

The unit consists of 24 pike/command, 16 shot and 8 melee.  The frontage is 160mm and depth 80mm.  This frontage configures with my collection standard of 80mm.

I love the look of this unit and will definitely me making up more.

15mm Fantasy-Non Empire Units

Old Glory 15mm Italian Wars make great Empire troops.  Here are four units Carrborg Greatswords and Bohem Pistoleers, both a 'formed' unit and skirmishers.

15mm Non-Empire

Now for something more conventional, just a basic unit of Sword and Bucklers.   They wear the purple and yellow of Ostermark.

ACW Confederates

Sorry for the poor pictures but these are the latest Old Glory Confederates for my Regimental Fire and Fury non-project.....Good news is I have bought myself a second hand copy of the rule book and look forward to reading it.

I painted these whilst watching the film 'Gods and Generals', great inspiration!

Another New Project :-( Or Non Project 15mm American Civil War

So for over a year I have had a large(ish) pile of 15mm Old Glory ACW figures and after playing a game of Regimental Fire and Fury some months ago I thought I would add them to my 'to do' lost.  So in the spirit of my mix and match box I added some bags of these figures and I pulled one of the bags out!

These are figures advancing at the shoulder wearing greatcoats, fun and quick to paint and I think they look quite nice.

Quite quick to paint, various shades of grey, a coat of Army Painter Dark Tone and matt spray...done!  The flags are self printed from an open internet source.

Napoleonic (Mine) Army of Westphalia

Just a quick post, sorry about the picture, of the first unit of Westphalian infantry.

These represent 2nd Battalion, 2nd Regiment, this regiment was part of Damas' Brigade, 23rd (Westphalan) Divison, Eighth Army Corps.

I hope to have the whole brigade completed by the end of January, that will be 4 battalions of line and 1 of light infantry.

Napoleonics (Commission)

The painting for 2016 has begun....I begun with Napoleonic commission work,

Started with French limber markers, these are commission paints and the guy only wanted two horses, personally I prefer a four horse limber.

These two pictures are  casualty markers (commission), they will be used in Black Powder.
I also have 19 standing casualties in the offing.

2nd Battalion of Nassau for 1815 (commission)

All figures are Old Glory

Wurttemburg Cavalry

The last of 2015 painting efforts.  Two regiments of Wurttemburg Cheveauleger.

Leib Regiment

Prinz Adam's Regiment

The figures are Old Glory, the bases are pre-magnatised MDF I buy from Tony at TinyTinTroopers, a great product with great service.  Highly recommeded.

The allies of the Grande Armee of 1812 is a massive project but I do love the diversity and array of countries and uniforms involved.  I have just started on the Westphalian infantry.....all 22 battalions of them, thats just shy of 500 infantry figures.....yes I am mad!

15mm Black Powder Napoleonics

Here are some commission pieces for a fellow club member.  Black Powder Napoleonics in 15mm, by far the best scale to use!
All the figures are Old Glory, I really do like their range and you get a bit of variety in each pack

Above are two pictures of the 'Black Brunswickers'.  These are painted for the 1815 campaign.  They are not as dark in real life as they look in the pictures.

French Line Lancers, these are based in pairs as light cavalry (a local convention at our club).  It does give a very quick way of telling the difference between lights and heavies.

And finally a large regiment of Chasseurs a Cheval de la Garde.  I thought I would make theses a large unit to give them more presence on the field.

There are a few other units that I have done in this commission but no pictures yet.  My own Napoleonic collection is the allies of the Grande Armee'.  I chose this mixed bag to give me plenty of choice both with gaming and painting!  I have completed the Baden contingent of 6 infantry battalions, 1 jager battalion, 1 cavalry regiment and 2 foot batteries, a total of 156 infantry, 8 cavalry and 2 guns and crew.  I'll post some pictures once the basing is complete.

The next major contingent will be the Westphalians......
