Dystopian Terrain

More scenery for the Dystopian table.  The docks and city walls.  the docks belong to the club and I did those as part of the PAW Open Day project.

Again great minis from Spartan Games but not quite there usual standard, some of the 'wooden' jetties where warped and do not sit flat but they look great.

The city wall set, this time with guns.  Although belonging to the Uncharted Seas range they fit in great with Dystopian.
The thought is with these and the others is to form a fortified harbor for the fleets to operate out off.
The gate looks great!  the 'wave' emblem just cries out harbor!

Luftwaffer

Here are the squadrons so that the Luftwaffer will rule the sky, along with the airships!

The very colourful ones will make up the flying circus to go with the red airships.
The white fliers are the scouts, we need to see what is out there!

This should make about 10 or 12 squadrons.

Reinforcements for the Emperor!

Ok this post is self explanatory here are 7 airships for the might Prussian Empire.

More air power for the Prussian Empire
That brings my Airship Fleet up to 2xSky Fortresses, 3 Gewittewolke Bombers and 6 Pflicht Scoutships.

A home for the Red Baron's Flying Circus.....

Just look at the firepower!

Soon to be finished will be 7 Tiny Flyer squadrons (5 bases each) and 3 Tiny Flyer Scout bases.  That will bring the Luftwaffer up to about 11 Squadrons.....The Emperor will rule the sky!!!

Dystopian Wars Scenery

Here are some of the very good Spartan Games' scenery sets.  Clive, from PAW, is making terrain boards for the club's show game.  Obviously the boards are a work in progress!

City Walls
The city walls above are from the Uncharted Seas range but work equally well in the Dystopian era.  The towers with the red tiled roofs are actually gun towers, the two on the right of the picture are the plain city wall tower.
In the background you can see the two of the industrial untis.
Cathedral and urban areas
Here are a few bases of the urban set. As you can see I have based them on 2mm MDF and used flock to create the tarmac roads.  Simple but effective I think.
Lighthouse

The lighthouse in situ on a head land using it's warning light to guide the fleets into the bay.

Dystopian War Scenery

Here is a selection of Dystopian Wars scenery that I have painted for my collection and PAW, ready for the big game being held at PAW13, Plymouth 2nd and 3rd February 2013!
If you are about come and join in.

Firstly the Prussian Empire bunker an imposing model and a great miniature to paint, looks pretty solid and in game terms packs a great punch!!
Prussian Bunker

Here are two sets of the Industrial packs, one of mine and one belonging to PAW.  They are based on 2mm MDF which has just been sprayed black and the dry brushed dark grey to represent a tarmac/concrete setting.

Crane and small warehouse

Large warehouse
The Lighthouse is actually part of the 'Uncharted Seas' range but looks great in Dystopian and fits in very well, as does the 'City Walls and Tower' sets, pictures of them later on.
Lighthouse
Theses EotBS weapons towers belong to Al, a PAW member who I paint for.  As always lovely sculptured models and a pleasure to paint.
The towers come with a selection of four different weapons fits all of which enhance your game.

Dystopian Wars Prussian Reinforcements

To compete in the arms race started by Al's Blazing Suns I have added some airships to my Prussian Fleet.

The large airship is covered in weapons and packs a mighty punch, whilst underneath lays an open bomb bay ready to rain destruction down on all the Empire's enemies!
The escorts, ready co cover the major air assets of the fleet. Armed with four main guns and a bomb bay.
All three are a nice addition to my Prussians.

Dystopian Wars, Sun Reinforcements

Ok, reinforcements for Al's Empire of the Blazing Sun's fleet. He is building up quite a large and powerful force, obviously it will not match my mighty Prussian Empire but is is a fine display of Dystopian Naval and Airpower.
Above we have a Wargyro, 2 Gyros, 3 Gunships and 6 Corvettes.
Don't worry the ships are still on their painting bases not a poor attempt to do 'water bases'.

The Wargyro, a very impressive flying machine with plenty of fire power!
Gyros, escorts for the Wargyro or the Gyro Carrier.

Gunships, designed to be fast and hard hitting.
Corvettes, pesky things used to shield bigger ships and take the hits

Prussian Empire in Action

At the beginning of the year I had my first game of Dystopian Wars again Nigel's British. Enjoyed the game and learnt some hard lessons with the loss of many brave Prussian sailors!
As you can guess I lost!!!

Two bombers heading out to sea to punish the snooty Brits!
Torpedo Bombers
Cruisers
The most impressive Zeppelin Aircraft Carrier, pride of the Prussian Fleet!

Having learnt the lessons from this unsuccessful encounter I went on to beat Al's Japanese fleet. You can see pictures of his ships on this blog, I paint them....

Empire of the Blazing Sun Supports!

Two more squadrons join the ranks of Al Cox's Dystopian fleet. Destroyers to add some extra firepower and the diminutive escorts to protect his capital ships from roaming bands of tiny flyers. We shall see how well they work when he get's them on the table.
