Devishers!

Here is one of my favourite armies in Principle's of War 19th Century, Dervish and Fuzzy-Wuzzies, hundreds of them!! I like the PoW gaming system, they work over many periods and handle them very well.

Here my opponent, Al is using the British Camel Corps against me, that is another army of mine (no decent pics yet).

On the left is Ken, our resident PoW Rules expert, he is our 'go to' man if we don't know the answer!

Sorry for the bright light I will try and get some better pictures the next time they get an outing.

Above is a Dervish Command surging forward to smash the Colonial Oppressers!!

Here is a Fuzzy Wuzzi Command, these tried to smash in the British flank but if I recall correctly they never made it before the centre broke.

Fantasy Armies

Here are the battle lines drawn up during a demo game at PAW 2008.

The two sides are Hordes of the Pits (Demons) and Beastmen.

I use many ranges including GW, Demonworld, Ral Patha (both of which are no longer produced 'shame'), Fighting 15s and Pendraken.  basicly I will use any figures that fit.  It adds to the 'Fantasy' look of it all.

These are from the Horde From the Pit, basicly a Demon style army.  The figures used in the army come from many different companies.  The 'Juggars' on the left are used as 'Bohemoths'.

I use a modified Principles of War Ancients rules.  These have not been published but are free in their Yahoo Group.  My home made Fantasy additions amount to about two sides of A4 at the moment.  The basic rules and the fantasy add ons do good a rather good game!  I have uploaded the Fantasy additions in the file section of the Yahoo Group.

Here is a view from the Hordes Of The Pits
looking at their Beastman opponent!  The temple was one of the battle 'objectives'.  In the Beastman line you can see  Warhammer Minators, who are giants at this scale and Demonworld Bear Riders.

Welcome

Welocme one and all.

I have been encouraged to make this blog to share my love of wargaming and show my wide ranging intetests and how easily I get distracted in my projects!!

I have been playing with toy soldiers since I was a child but got into wargaming seriously just over ten years ago when I joine Illford Wargames Club.

At Ilford I was able to indulge in my main love 15mm Fantasy Mass Battle by playing and helping to develope DBF, thanks Madan, Pete and all!

However as I have said I am easily distracted and have a wid and varied wargames collection but only a few projects completed.

I'm now at Plymouth Association of Wargamers (PAW), a very friendly club for anyone in the area, and play a wide range of periods.  I also paint figures for other club memebers from time to time.

I will post some pictures of my armies and those painted for other soon.

My 'main' projects for this year are

6mm Sci Fi, Epic and DRM
10mm WSS Reichs Army
15mm Alexandrian Macedonian
15mm Late Mycene (for Alan at PAW)

So as you can see quite a list so far........

Check back soon for some eye candy.

Thanks
